    Komodo Edit 8 x86 tar.gz
  2. Double-Click on Archive and Extract into /tmp Ubuntu Komodo Extraction
  3. Open a Terminal Window Ubuntu Open Terminal
  4. Installing Komodo Edit
    1. Login as SuperUSer
      sudo su
    2. Change to Komodo Directory
      cd /tmp/Komodo-*
    3. Run Installation Script
      ./install.sh

      Select the Install Directory Location

      Example: /opt/Komodo-Edit-7.1.2

    4. Make Symlink to Komodo
      ln -s </path/To/Komodo>/bin/komodo /usr/local/bin/komodo
  5. Start Komodo Edit Ubuntu Start Komodo
